OK! It’s out! The ‘Unapologetic’ album is out!

Released on November 19th, Rih has kept a secure secret from her eager fans- she didn’t tell us that the album was going to be THAT awesome!

The album not only opens up about her domestic violence experience and love affair with Mr Brown, but features a song from each genre! Now, we all know that Rih is famous for her lame albums. NOT BEING FUNNY but usually Rih releases some wicked singles and then the album is just full of fillers, but not this time! The whole album = WINNER. Absolute ace! I can predict now that ‘Love Without Tragedy/Mother Mary’ will be faaantastic live!

Rihanna has managed to conquer the world and blow the competing artists (Nicki Minaj’s album Roman Reloaded: The REUP’ was released on the same date) out of the picture by using a secret weapon, the 777 tour, which was a HUUUGE success-globally. The Unapologetic album is set to be number 1 on the UK albums chart. Score!

The album includes the hit track ‘Diamonds’ (the video arguably includes Browns arm…) and features by Chris Brown himself ‘Nobody’s Business’, eminem AND future ‘Loveeee Song’. So if you haven’t bought, downloaded or even heard of the album yet… go get it.

The great King B is due to perform at the BET Awards this year! Momma B WILL be taking a break from the troubles of motherhood to come back to BET after three long years!  The news broke out via twitter (as always) by Mendez!

So, what will King B be wearing to the BET awards this year?

Drake and Chris Brown had a big brawl in a night club a little while ago, but beef still continues between the two stars. Not only have they been offered $1 million each to re enter the ring- but Nicki Minaj made numerous comments on the situation, stating that Drake is better than that and just needs to realise how big of a star he is; she even recommended him to “take a nap”, but she still continued to release a single with Chris..hmn. Any who, not only did the club that housed the brawl loose its liqueur license, but multiple people ended up in hospital because of the fight, not only did Chris need stitches, but members of Drakes team ended up seriously hurt, especially his body guard. The mess was horrendous, check out the aftermath:

Due to the horrid images of the people hurt, I will not be posting them, but don’t worry, their all over Google.

Now, RUNTC readers, although I have been gone for a while, I have done some pretty cool things meanwhile and the Radio 1 Hackney Weekend was definitely one of them!

I was lucky enough to receive an exclusive pass to the big festival and I had an absolute blast! Not only was there food, celebrities and fun, but there were all my favourite artists in one place! The event was so massive that there was more than one stage. Amongst the thousands of people that attended, there was a dance section, multiple DJ stands, a Radio 1 EXTRA stage AND finally, the biggen- the main stage- which was absolutely MASSIVE.

Not only did I have the pleasure of witnessing the greatness that is Example, Trey Songz and Will.I.Am; I was fortunate enough to discover the great performance that was Nicki Minaj.

Minus her diva exit. Her performance was perfectly balanced with her infamous pop ballads and her skilled rhymes. Unfortunately, due to sound errors, I was screaming the words louder than Nicki herself, never the less, it was a good performance. Especially the male dancers.

Now, Jay Z’s performance is a whole different story. Although the legend made us wait, a long time, all the crampt conditions and crowd thug behavior was worth it. After being squashed for 30 minutes in the typical British rain, the crowd was rich with excitement when he finally arrived. Performing an extreme performance of majority of his previous smashers – Not only did Rihanna join him on stage for ‘Run This Town’ but M.I.A came on stage with an awesome performance of her track ‘Bad Girls’ and ‘Paper Planes’ (which was cut short due to technical failures). Just as the crowd thought he was done, close friend, Kanye West pops out of no where to give us a cut down version of the Watch The Throne tour. Performing ‘Niggas In Paris’ not once, not twice but 3 times!

All together, the Hackney Weekend was a fudging fudge fantastic way to spend a Saturday Afternoon!

Here, is where all I see is BODY, WHOY! music still sucks, but BODY, WOYY

Earlier this month, Nicki Minaj released her brand, spanking new album based on her fictional alter ego, Roman. The album has evolved into a very successful album – as it has debuted no1 on the Billboard chart. But the quality lacks. Seriously. I have never been so angry in my life. I was surprised, confused and vex when I actually listened to this album. On paper, the album sounds like it could be amazing- Nicki stated that she didn’t want this album to be based around sex or violence; which is fair enough. But, I’m going to be honest. Sex and violence is what made Nicki, Roman and Martha famous in the first place. It’s like taking the Yankee hat away from Jay Z- whats the point?

The album almost has two sides. There is a hiphop attempt (“Roman Holiday”, “Come on a cone”, “I Am Your Leader”, “Beez in the Trap”, “HOV Lane”, “Roman Reloaded” and “Champion”) and a pop, all star attempt (the other 11 tracks). Oh, I forgot, there was this one track where she tried to merge her Trinidadian roots with pop, creating “Gunshot” – Yeah, having Beenie Man on a uptempo song really doesn’t work.

It is my job, as a truthful blogger, to admit when something is wrong, and this album was all wrong. The only two tracks I appreciated was “Beez In The Trap” and “Champion” other than that, it was a colouful, artistic mess. Comparing it to her previous album, ‘Pink Friday’- ‘Roman Reloaded’ has no chance. C’mon, all you barbs out there must admit that the previous album contained a lot more tunes. “Did It On Em”, “Superbase”, “Roman’s revenge”, “Right Thru Me”…  come on!

I was really disappointed with this album, AND the videos that followed it. The “Beez In The Trap” video was weird and confusing and the “Stupid Hoe” video- don’t even get me started. INFACT the whole “Stupid Hoe” song was wrong. Unlawfully wrong. Shamefully wrong. I just – urgh!

A true fan can admit when someone has fallen off. And Nicki Minaj, has indeed fallen off. Music wise.

Here’s the best song from the album, Champion:

Lore’l, what can I say about Lore’l. Well, shes a pretty, urban, hardcore hiphop rapper, who’s rhymes are pretty impressive.

You know what I love? I love the fact that I see a whole variety of female rappers now. Before there was just Nicki and Missy. NOW there’s Nicki (on occasion), Missy, Honey Cocaine, Lore’l, New Era and plenty more.

Hey, I’m all for women in hiphop. We’re not all video vixens!

Heres one of Lore’ls tracks: Too Pretty

For the first time, I actually agreed with Lil Kim when she said ‘If you have to make a song called Stupid Hoe.. then you must be the stupid hoe’

But I guess Nicki was right when she said ‘you damn well couldn’t get an interview before and when you do they asking you about Nicki Minaj’

That made sense to me. But I didn’t like the presenters and how they we’re trying to get a bashing interview, I didn’t think that was appropriate. But, for once, Lil Kim handled that quite well. She’s still a hater..

Who’s ready for some SUPERBOWL fun?! I sure as hell am! Whether your a Patriot or a Giant, boyy does the NFL have a show for you! Madonna, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A are due to rock the stage on Sunday.

I’m a Saints fan, but they got knocked out in the playoffs SO.. I am, by force, supporting the Giants.. but i am definately looking forward to seeing the show set up for us.

What do you think, Superbowl disaster (like Janet Jackson’s boob slip), or weird and awkward success? We’ll just have to see.

Happy Superbowl people!!!!!!
