So Lady Gaga has been knocked off the charts by Carly Rae Jepson’s new hit song ‘Call me maybe’. This song is HUGE, annoying but HUGE. Lady Gaga is aware of this and gave Carly a humorous warning via twitter:

Carly, respectfully, has not commented yet, but is this a joke? Or is Lady Gaga actually coming for CRJ?

Earlier this month, Nicki Minaj released her brand, spanking new album based on her fictional alter ego, Roman. The album has evolved into a very successful album – as it has debuted no1 on the Billboard chart. But the quality lacks. Seriously. I have never been so angry in my life. I was surprised, confused and vex when I actually listened to this album. On paper, the album sounds like it could be amazing- Nicki stated that she didn’t want this album to be based around sex or violence; which is fair enough. But, I’m going to be honest. Sex and violence is what made Nicki, Roman and Martha famous in the first place. It’s like taking the Yankee hat away from Jay Z- whats the point?

The album almost has two sides. There is a hiphop attempt (“Roman Holiday”, “Come on a cone”, “I Am Your Leader”, “Beez in the Trap”, “HOV Lane”, “Roman Reloaded” and “Champion”) and a pop, all star attempt (the other 11 tracks). Oh, I forgot, there was this one track where she tried to merge her Trinidadian roots with pop, creating “Gunshot” – Yeah, having Beenie Man on a uptempo song really doesn’t work.

It is my job, as a truthful blogger, to admit when something is wrong, and this album was all wrong. The only two tracks I appreciated was “Beez In The Trap” and “Champion” other than that, it was a colouful, artistic mess. Comparing it to her previous album, ‘Pink Friday’- ‘Roman Reloaded’ has no chance. C’mon, all you barbs out there must admit that the previous album contained a lot more tunes. “Did It On Em”, “Superbase”, “Roman’s revenge”, “Right Thru Me”…  come on!

I was really disappointed with this album, AND the videos that followed it. The “Beez In The Trap” video was weird and confusing and the “Stupid Hoe” video- don’t even get me started. INFACT the whole “Stupid Hoe” song was wrong. Unlawfully wrong. Shamefully wrong. I just – urgh!

A true fan can admit when someone has fallen off. And Nicki Minaj, has indeed fallen off. Music wise.

Here’s the best song from the album, Champion:

Chris.

It’s been a long time since the incident. Maybe in your head it has. But to everyone else, it feels like it’s been about a week, two weeks tops. Look, Chris, you’re a fantastic artist and a brilliant dancer. You have raised the bar of your music and you have touched a lot of people with your performances and you may have changed. But the thing is, Chris, when you take steps forward, you take twice as many steps back. Everyone was on the verge of forgiving but not forgetting until you did that chair window thing. I realize that people being in your business all the time can be frustrating- but you knew that when you made the deal with the devil back in 2005. You knew that once you signed that deal, once you performed those songs, once you released those albums, your life is no longer private. Every decision is vital to your career. A normal person has followers- you have an ARMY. I’d say about half of the worlds population of women is in team breezy. Women that look up to you and dream about you. Women that might look up to you as a male role model. Sounds creepy, I know, but its true. I should know because I was one of them. I used to have team breezy on my chest, proud. All the albums, all the posters, ask my dad, I was insane for you. Then 2008 happened. I was shocked, upset, confused and hurt. I stopped. Team breezy stopped. Posters went back. Albums thrown out. I did hate you for a while. Then I got over it. Don’t get me wrong, I NEVER forget – but I made allowances. Hey, I liked your music. Big deal? I didn’t support your behavior, but I liked your music. ‘In My Zone’ 1 and 2 were AMAZING and so was your mixtape with Tyga – ‘Deuces’ was incredible and ‘F.A.M.E’ still amazes to this day. But the memories were still there and I felt wrong listening to your music. So I stopped for a bit, especially when you made those stupid tweets. C’mon Chris. I’m being very very honest when I say that this is a bad idea.

This whole Rihanna featuring Chris Brown this is not your smartest move. It’s not a good idea. It’s a very, very, VERY bad idea. You’re an adult, you’re old enough to make your own decisions. Everyone knows that opinions don’t matter to you, but this one, should. Chris, you’ve come far from the incident. You’ve made albums, won a Grammy, performed some of the best performances known, don’t take those dreaded steps back. Don’t allow history to repeat itself. Move on. Let go with the past and in with the new.

Throw the deuces up.. for the love of God.

All though I don’t like Mac Miller that much, I respect the sample in this song and the production. I mean, he’s a good artist, but theres something I don’t buy. AND I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHY. I mean have you ever not known why you don’t like an artist before…

Chris Brown is set to officially release ‘She Aint You’ and ‘Wet The Bed’ from his brand new album ‘F.A.M.E’.

The album itself is doing amazingly well! After the mishap on Good Morning America the other day,  Chris has formally apologized on BET’s 106&Park. Since then his album has hit sky high with it hitting number 1 in its first day of being released!

I have to say Chris, the album is pretty amazing! I think the world acknowledges what you did and is ready to move forward with you. CONGRATULATIONS!

Look at me now hits #11 on BILLBOARD chart. Is that right? Is it time to except that Chris has made a mistake and we should move on? Is the world being too forgiving. I’m not going to lie, it is a bloody good song, but is it too soon? Has he done enough to earn his fans respect again? I’m not sure.
